As a Junior Grid Innovation Software Developer, you will join our forward-thinking team to help build and improve the software solutions that support the stability of modern energy grids. You will work closely with experienced developers and energy experts, contributing to customer integrations, renewable energy management, and the continuous improvement of our platform as it grows internationally. You will get hands-on experience with real production systems, learn how large-scale energy software is built and operated, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

What you will do

  • Support the development and maintenance of scalable back-end services

  • Contribute to API design and data models using PostgreSQL

  • Work with Docker to create reproducible development environments

  • Assist with deploying and operating services in the cloud (AWS)

  • Help debug, test, and improve system performance and reliability

  • Learn and apply modern back-end tools, patterns, and best practices

  • Support day-to-day technical operations and customer-related requests


This is you

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or are close to graduation)

  • First practical experience through internships, student jobs, or personal projects in back-end development

  • Good knowledge of Python (FastAPI) or Go

  • Familiar with SQL databases (PostgreSQL is a plus)

  • First experience with Docker and basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus)

  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and back-end architecture

  • Familiar with Git and modern development workflows

  • You are a smart, highly motivated self-starter who loves tackling problems and turning ideas into results

  • You have strong problem-solving skills, are curious by nature, and are highly motivated to create a positive impact for our clients.
